Work and Play

In a curious effort to push the forms of “Common Ties” beyond simple objects, “Work and Play” is a short exploration of the relationship between adults and leisure.

Each participant was given oversized fabric sculptures resembling friendship bracelets and knots to interact with in front of a camera. Each interaction happened in similar patterns: a slightly awkward beginning, and then individual reactions to the forms as play things that closely resembled the type of work each person did.

Videos were still captured and converted into posters, presented in a style inspired by Edward Muybridge.
